Friends, the race is on!!! It is time for our Jr. High Belmont Youth team to take are mark... get set... GO!

Amazing Bible Race

The Amazing Bible Race is a read-through-the-Bible-program that helps you read the whole Bible and learn to live out the Scriptures in your daily life. It may seem like a daunting task—to read the whole Bible—and that’s why we’ve broken the Race up into six, 12-week legs. You can take breaks in between each leg to catch your breath. To help keep you going you’ll be part of a team of friends who will cheer you on and help you stay focused. You’ll work with your team to solve Weekly Challenges, accomplish Fast Forwards jump Hurdles and accrue points. Your team will have a profile page on amazingbiblerace.com where you can interact with each other and with the Bible stories you read. You can take quizzes, solve puzzles, upload pictures of your team in action, and share thoughts about how you’re doing.

Points are tallied every time you take a quiz or solve a weekly challenge. You’ll be able to check your standings against other teams and between the dates of September 1, 2007 through September 30, 2009, if you complete all six legs of the Amazing Bible Race you’ll be entered into the official race and may win $500 to give to a mission organization that YOU GET TO CHOOSE! You could even put the money in your youth group mission account.

Registration for the Jr. High Wednesday Night Amazing Bible Race team begins this Wednesday, September 5 and "ends" September 9. If you decide later on in during our team's 1st leg run of the Bible marathon that you would like to run, talk to Lanecia or Jacob and they will help you through that process.

Registration Steps:

1. Check out the Amazing Bible Race website, "For the Student" section. Learn all you possibly can about the race, your responsibility to your team of friends from Belmont and all of the cool stuff you can gain as you journey towards becoming more like Christ. The website is:

2. Bring $5 to Lanecia to register and pick up your book.

3. Encourage your friends to join the team.

4. Set up your runner's account on our team's page with the Amazing Bible Race.

5. Make sure you are clear on all the instructions and DIVE on into one of the best adventures of your life through our Scriptures. We promise it will be a worthwhile, life-changing, fun-filled and amazing experience for you.

6. Make plans to join your team on Wednesday nights for fellowship, team encouragement, reflection and moving forward with Lanecia and Jacob.
