"Stepping Outside" Attention 11th & 12th Grade Youth!

Attention Juniors and Seniors:

We want you to have a space and time to talk about subjects that matter in your life and the world around you. "Stepping Outside" is a new monthly youth group series for juniors and seniors in high school ONLY.

Mark your calendars for "Stepping Outside" at Bongo Java on Belmont Blvd., Sunday, October 26, at 9-10:15 am. Justin Hall and Ciona Rouse will join you and hear what you have to say about a few topics:

Jesus for President: What are the first thoughts that come to mind? What are your thoughts about the political conversations being had all around you? What should Christians do when allegiances to the state clash with personal faith?

An ongoing topic: Back in the 80's Will Smith created an anthem for young people years to come: "Parents Just Don't Understand." This week, we will begin a series during each Stepping Outside to discuss relationships between you and your parents.

Bring your thinking caps, your voice and your beautiful faces (and maybe a few dollars for a muffin, a healthy delicious treat or a latte)! Come ready to express yourself exactly as you are. No matter whether we all agree or not, we each have been given by God the gift to think about and to express what we believe and why. "Stepping Outside" is a time and space to hear each other in ways that take us a step or two outside the box.
