Peace of Christ.
The following is an email from Jenny Redding-Rhodes, director of Homeplace:
"Hi, everyone!
As many of you know, Ruby took a fall during the night last week and broke her wrist. She will be having surgery tomorrow morning (8 am).
Her sister and I will be there. Depending on what the doctor tells us, she may be out of work for several weeks (she has already missed all of this week). She seems to be quite lonely and bored during the day, and I don't expect that will get better without the help of some good friends!
Does anyone have availability to "hang out" with Ruby a bit over the next few weeks? Ruby would welcome visitors anytime, but we could especially use help any of the following hours:
Mondays/Wednesdays 8-11:00; 1:00-4:30
Tuesdays/Thursdays- 8-6:30
Fridays-8-11:00
After this weekend, I am pretty sure she would be up for going shopping, out to eat, or most of her usual activities (with one hand!).
Please email or call (596-6346) if you can spend some time with Ruby.
Thanks, everyone.
Jenny"
If you would like to send her a card, you can find her address in the church directory or contact Lanecia.
Be,
lanecia

Lanecia,
Thank you so much for posting this; how sweet! Ruby is doing well, bored, but well!
We appreciate all of you!
