Here is what’s going on at BUMC in the area of Youth Ministries the next few weeks. Be sure to mark your calendars and check the blog each week for updates.

Sunday, January 25
9:15 am Sunday school, 3rd Floor
4:30 pm Evening Retreat for Partners in Ministry
5:30 pm UMY
Jr. Highs “Life on the Ranch” Andrea Murdock will be leading a program experience about Heifer International and the Summer Action Program.
Sr. Highs “So What?” Ken Edwards will guide the youth activities and conversations that help them think through what their faith beliefs have to say about things that matter in their lives and the life of the world.

Wednesday, January 28
6-7 pm Youth Bible Study

Saturday, January 31 (Morning in Mission)
8:30am-12:30 pm Serving the World: Feed the Children
We will travel from church to the Feed the Children warehouse to see how many boxes of goods we can pack up and prepare to be shipped off to meet the needs of children around the world. Come ready to work and be in fellowship with your friends at BUMC.

9:15 am “Stepping Outside” hosted by the Bryant’s for 11th and 12th graders ONLY! The conversation will be led by Ciona Rouse and Matt Wiltshire
5:30 pm UMY
Jr. Highs “Four Corners“ We will begin to learn how we can shape our futures through having conversations that matter within the church community. Four Corners is a fun activity that allows you to strengthen relationships with your friends, converse within a safe space about things that matter, and speak in a place where all voices/perspectives are heard and respected.

Sr. Highs “Four Corners” Shaping our futures through conversations that matter. Youth will have an opportunity to agree, somewhat agree, disagree, and somewhat disagree with 4 selected social resolutions of the UMC. It is an opportunity to learn about what our faith tradition claims, what you believe, why you believe it and engage in safe conversation with your peers about your beliefs.
