Be the Change Day

Mother Teresa once said, "In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love." On April 17th, we offered "small things with great love" in Nashville.

We, along with youth & the youth pastor of White House UMC, offered a sports, learning, singing & creative play experience for the children of the Golden Triangle Fellowship and other children in their apartment communities. At one apartment complex we ended up having children from Nepal, Egypt, Mexico, Iraq and Bangladesh join us. The bubbles were a hit and a big big big draw.

After our time with our young friends, we headed to Franklin First UMC for a time of worship with about 300 other youth who had served their local communities in some way throughout the day. Shane Claiborne was the guest preacher for the night and it was FABULOUS!

We capped the long day off with some sweet ice-cream treats and made our way back home, lives blessed having lived this particular day together.
