Blind Spots

Bono, lover of peopole, justice & music, said "Every age has its massive moral blind spots. We might not see them, but our children will."

What do you think he means?
What are some of the massive moral blind spots of this age that you see?
How might our faith community offer a lens that can help people see?

i think some of the blind spots of this time are: global warming (not everyone believes it is real), hunger, and poverty close to and far from home. (i am sure there are more i am not thinking of, but this will do for present) i am so glad that belmont is aware of these issues, and is constantly striving to help do what is right for each situation. it makes me sad, though, that others are so unaware of what is going on around them. i believe that our only hope is to continue educating people about such issues, and hope that they feel moved to take action. ;-)
