Mission Nashville 2009

“Camp Edge”

Our in-city mission week is August 2-6. Hillcrest UMC will host us as we live, serve and enjoy life with the children of the Golden Triangle Fellowship.

We will be leading a 4-day camp for children of the GTF in partnership with the Belmont UMC Children’s Ministry.

Schedule
This year youth & adult volunteers will be day volunteers. All camp leadership is expected to arrive at 8 am every morning and will be free to leave at 1:30 pm (M, T, & W). Thursday is the last day of the camp and we will have a special treat for all volunteers following the camp until 7 pm. If you sign-up to participant in Mission Nashville, you are committing to being fully present throughout the entire experience.

Sunday, August 2
4-7:30 pm, Camp Prep and Group Fellowship at Hillcrest

Monday, August 3
8 am-1:30 pm “Camp Edge”

Tuesday, August 4
8 am-1:30 pm “Camp Edge”

Wednesday, August 5
8 am-1:30 pm “Camp Edge: Play and Picnic at the Park”

Thursday, August 6
8 am-7 pm “Camp Edge” & Destination Unknown Celebration for Youth Leadership Team

We have enjoyed our time in play, fellowship and community with the children over the past two years, it has been incredible serving right here in our city. This mission week will provide us with an opportunity to continue building those relationships as we serve the Christ in our midst.

Hope you can receive this great opportunity to hang out with some of the most beautiful children in Nashville and fully offer yourselves in love of God, neighbor and the great city of Nashville. It just might change our lives!
