Here is what's going on at BUMC:

Sunday, July 18
9:15 am Combined Youth Summer Sunday school, 3rd Floor
Our special guest will be Susanna Wager, a student at Duke Divinity School doing her Field Education placement at The Next Door here in Nashville. She is coming to share her story and the story she has been participating in this summer with The Next Door. Hope you will come share in this special treat.

Tuesday, July 20
9:30 am Simple One Hour Tutoring at Turtle Creek led by Celeste Holt.
You will gather in the foyer near the Community Center at 9:30 am, and Celeste will take the group of volunteers to Turtle Creek. You will return back to the church around 11:30 am.


5:45 pm-8 pm Soccer at Turtle Creek
All you soccer lovers are invited to share in an evening of teaching young kids soccer skills and play with one of Ultimate Goal Soccer's directors John Stayskal.

We meet at the church, and Gayle Morin will drive the group over Turtle Creek to meet John who will prepare you for the evening.

It is tons of fun, a great way to be in community doing something you love and definitely worth receiving at least one time this summer.

Thursday, July 22
9:30 am Simple One Hour Tutoring at Haywood Lane led by Beverly Lovell
Youth will gather in the foyer near the Community Center at 9:30 am, and Beverly will take the group of volunteers to Haywood Lane. You will return back to the church around 11:30 am.
6 pm Thursday Night Connect, 3rd Floor

Saturday, July 24
10 am-Noon Creative Play at Turtle Creek
We will play with the children and help them sign-up for "Agape! Camp" (part of Mission Nashville). Hope you can join us.

Sunday, July 25
Following worship, A.C.T.S
Bring at least $10 for lunch out
We will gather in the Iris Room following worship

Starting location: Belmont UMC with a 1.4 mile route to the Islamic Center of Nashville

Lanecia's Schedule:
I will be out of the office July 17-July 23. I am leading the youth portion of The Upper Room Resources spiritual formation week "SoulFEAST."

Youth Ministry Retreat & Event Registration Reminder:

Lindsey is one of the Administrative Assistants for the BUMC Pastoral Staff. She is responsible for collecting forms, names and checks for all Youth Ministry events. Lindsey will remind you of registration deadlines at least one week before the due date. It would be helpful for our planning and preparation if deadlines are met. If you do not receive email reminders from Lindsey currently regarding deadlines for retreats & events, email her and let her know as soon as possible.
