No WNAB or Wednesday Night Connect

5:30 pm UMY, meet in the Recreation Room not Community Center

All Church Retreat
We have 22 youth and 6 Partners in Ministries participating in the youth component of the All Church Retreat, and a GREAT program planned with our guest speaker Noel Musicha!

Please remember to bring your Bibles and spirits ready and willing to fully participate in all of the youth offerings. Parents and youth, please remember that the Partners in Ministry are only responsible for the schedule youth activites during the weekend. Attached in the All Church Retreat Youth Scheduled Activities. Parents are responsible for making sure their young person is present at all sessions and activities.

Carrie and Justin Hall are the head Partner in Ministry leaders for the weekend with a great team (Andy Miller, Sarah Miller, Ryan Chavez Richmond and Laura Kigweba).

We ask that all youth participants follow these guidelines for our time together. All of these are shaped based on helpful things we have discerned from our journey together so far:

*Have a great time and come ready to fully participate

*Come to sessions and be on time - know schedule and where you are supposed to be

*Listen when others speak, don't talk over others especially our guest speaker

*Refrain from calling anyone outside of there name and using language & actions that distract from the purpose of the gather and may hurt another.
Think before you speak something.
If it isn't funny, don't laugh. If it isn't kind, don't say it!

*This is a retreat away from everyday life. Leave your mobile phones, ipods and games at home or in your rooms during sessions and activities. If you bring any of these items and use them during the activites, Carrie or Justin will take them and hold until after the session.

*If we have to remind you of the rules more than twice during the session, you will get to enjoy the rest of the retreat with your parents and others in the other community sessions.

Lanecia's Sabbatical

An amazing opportunity has been given to me to receive some sabbatical time over the next few weeks starting tomorrow, October 15. I will be returning around the second week of November.

We have a great staff, Partners in Ministry team, youth and parents at BUMC, who will help to lead the ministry offerings while I am away. Some great things are being over the next few weeks that I hope you will receive.

I will not be available via Facebook, work email or phone. I am really fully embracing this time for rest, healing, restoration and being still, and ask for your help in doing this by not trying to contact me along the way.

I am very thankful for this opportunity. I look forward to seeing you all in a few weeks. I love you and will remember you often in prayer. Remember me.
